Meet the founders
MoneyMatters 2u UK Ltd was founded when Colin and Cameron recognised a gap in the market for sophisticated financial services that were not only accessible but also didn't break the bank. With a shared commitment to providing honest, independent financial advice, they built the business around putting clients first and delivering professional guidance tailored to individual needs.
Cameron Young M.Sc. DipIP– Director
With over 30 years’ experience in financial advice, Cameron has built a wealth of knowledge across all areas of personal and business financial planning.
He began his career working within larger insurance and financial services companies, including AXA and Friends Provident, before taking the next step in 2006 and establishing his own independent financial advice firm.
Cameron’s aim has always been to provide genuinely personal, bespoke financial advice tailored to each client’s individual circumstances and objectives. Over the years, he has developed particular expertise in retirement planning and pension drawdown, helping clients make informed decisions about how to turn their pensions and investments into a sustainable income in retirement.
Away from work, Cameron is a keen motorcyclist and a passionate Edinburgh Rugby supporter.
Campbell Young M.A. DipPFS – Director
Campbell joined the firm four years ago after graduating from the University of Glasgow. Since joining, he has completed extensive training and professional examinations, developing into a Financial Planner with a broad interest across all areas of financial advice.
Campbell has a particular interest in pensions and investments, while also enjoying the wider aspects of financial planning and working closely with clients to understand their individual circumstances, goals and long-term plans.
Having completed his initial professional qualifications, Campbell has recently begun studying towards Chartered-level qualifications. He is committed to continuing his professional development while working directly with clients and building his experience as a Financial Planner.
Outside of work, Campbell is a keen cricketer and music lover.
